My-Spy.com Now Runs on Solaris 10

Virtual Perception Systems Inc. (VPSI) today announced that it has greatly improved the reliability, bandwidth and availability of my-spy.com by deploying servers in a new secure location in Vancouver running the Sun Solaris 10 operating system. The new servers are now connected to redundant fiber connections to Toronto and Seattle , and are backed up by UPS and generator power. PIN Pads Stolen at Park Royal Mall

West Vancouver Police are once again warning consumers that may have shopped at Park Royal Mall to change their PIN numbers for their debit and credit cards after 3 PIN machines were stolen on Friday, sources including the Province Newspaper and Global News report.

Once again, MySpy provides consumers with a level of confidence as a back-up fraud prevention device. No matter how the fraud occurs, the consumer is notified with a receipt for any activity on their account, pretty much right away. Consumers download MySpy to their computers to keep a constant vigil on their bank accounts and credit cards.

New Version of MySpy™ Launched

MySpy™, a Virtual Perception Systems Inc. (VPSI) solution designed to protect peoples' finances in a digital world, announced the release of a new version of its software today, designed to help the company impose a significant barrier between criminals and peoples bank accounts, credit cards and other personal information.

"Our ability to provide a single consolidated view of a customer's transactions across accounts and institutions is a unique benefit to users and a necessary aid to peoples' protection," states Darren Stevens, Chief System Architect. "Financial institutions have attempted to provide consolidated account views in the past but have failed. People have an ever-growing need to see what is happening with their finances at a glance, and security measures at institutions are increasingly requiring people to do more and more work to check their accounts." MySpy Protects Against Silent Banker Trojan

A new threat to online bankers has been identified, and MySpy is one of the few ways consumers can protect themselves. The so-called “Silent Banker” virus hooks into Internet Explorer and Firefox web browsers, intercepting and diverting communications that would normally be shielded by the bank’s secure SSL connection. Silent Banker hooks into browser’s extension mechanisms, and causes transactions the user is making at their online banking site to be diverted to third party bank accounts. Read more...

Vancouver Sun: MySpy alerts users to identity theft

"...RCMP spokeswoman Const. Annie Linteau said the idea is a sound one. "Anything that would enable someone to find out right away that they've been defrauded would be an asset, because often it is weeks before people know," said Linteau. "You could call your credit card company or the bank card company or the police right away."" Vancouver Sun | Digital Vancouver Sun | Edmonton Journal | National Post | World News
